3 Eid Hacks Everyone Needs To Know

3 Eid Hacks Everyone Needs To Know

Assalaamu alaikum everyone!

In this post I am going to share three Eid hacks that everyone needs to know.

1. Prepare As Much As You Can The Night Before Eid

From maghrib time (or when the sun sets) your masjid will announce whether it is Eid the next day, depending on the sighting of the moon. As soon as you are aware that it is Eid the following day, it is important to prepare as much as you can, especially since Eid prayer is so early in the morning. I like to iron and hang my clothes, as well as my children’s clothes. I also like to have a shower the night before Eid, to save time in the morning and to save me from running around before Eid salah.

2. Use paper/foil cutlery and crockery

This is a hugely important one, especially for those of us who spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Eid is a fun time for all the family, and this includes the women of the family. Save yourselves time in the kitchen by using as much paper/plastic cutlery and crockery, foil trays, etc. Once used, pop them into the recycling instead of having a huge pile of dishes to wash.

3. Enjoy yourself

This is one that we forget, when it is actually the most important aspect of Eid. We spend all of Ramadan working hard and worshipping as much as we can, and Allah swt has given us a beautiful celebration to end Ramadan on the best note possible.
Have lots of (halal) fun on Eid! Don’t just sit at home dolled up in front of the TV. Make Eid an enjoyable, fun time for yourselves and the children around you 😀
