What I Am Taking In My Travel Handbag/Backpack/In-Flight Essentials

In this post, I will be sharing the items that I will be taking on my flight in my travel handbag/backpack to make my journey more comfortable and enjoyable. As well as the items in the photos, I will be taking a sandwich from the supermarket (Aldi and Asda being my supermarkets of choice) and a drink which will be purchased once we have checked in at the airport as drinks are not allowed through check in.

The backpack I will be taking onto the flight is this lovely, simple one which I purchased recently from Primark for £7. The material is perfect as it can easily be cleaned/wiped, the backpack is lightweight, has just enough space to hold all of my things and has a front zip pocket for anything I want to keep separate.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am an avid reader, therefore a fictional book is definitely an essential for me – maybe even two. I will also be taking the Fortress of the Muslim du’a (supplication) book which contains many useful dua’s for all kinds of situations, including the du’a for travelling.

Next, we have toiletries. I will be taking a foldable water bottle, which takes no room at all and can be filled up as and when required, sun lotion as we’re going somewhere hot (making sure the bottle is 100ml or less otherwise it won’t get through customs at the airport). I will also take face cream, body mist, vaseline or lip balm, toothpaste and a toothbrush, and a pack of tissues. Ensure that any liquids are 100ml or less.

I will be taking a pair of shades as we’re going to a sunny destination! I got this pair from Primark for £1 🙂

Last but certainly not least, snacks. Nothing brings more comfort and joy than food, especially in my world 😉

I love mini cheddars, so I got this Aldi alternative of mini cheese bakes which comes in a pack of 6 and is suitable for vegetarians. To make myself feel a little less guilty, I am packing a pouch of nuts and seeds, which was only 39p from Aldi, and a naughty pack of mini eggs…because…chocolate 🙂

I hope this post has been useful, and has given you some ideas for what to pack on a flight to make your life easier and more comfortable.
