We visited Formby beach in Merseyside yesterday. The weather was perfect and we had a lovely day; well worth a visit.
Formby beach is owned by the National Trust, and there’s a wonderful woodland area to spot some squirrels but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to visit the woodland.
We paid £6 to park the car, and it was a 2 minute walk to the beach
My kids loved running up and down the sandy dunes
The sand was gorgeously soft and warm
No beach trip is complete without a good book. I have just finished The Second Sister by Claire Kendal which was gripping!
Formby beach is a wonderful, quiet beach and I would definitely recommend it 🙂
